Consider the basis against which you judge a good life.
From the perspective of fame, Alexander is a good example, but didn’t last.
From the perspective of Machiavelli, Stalin had a good life, as he rose though the ranks and took out his opponents and died in old age of natural causes. However he killed millions of his countrymen.
From the perspective of Plato, if you can be admitted in Elysium you have had a good life even if no one ever knows you or remembers you.
Just know what you are aim for.
