I just had a lovely chat with someone on Instagram about running now. Yes there are physical challenges but there are some real positives too.
Of course we are all at different stages on our journeys, with different lifestyles and pressures.
But we shared a few common positives:
Having older kids and the freedom that gives us
Changes in our work patterns meaning we have more flexibility to build running into our weeks
Having partners who also enjoy running and how that makes it easy and encourages us more
Playing the long game - accepting those physical setbacks, but having a different mindset thats simply about keeping going and doing what it takes to keep running.
