Welcome 🤍 Start Here
Welcome 🤍 I’m so glad you’re here. I want to start by sharing a little about why I created this space—because it’s personal. Not long ago, I had my first (and so far only) DEXA bone density scan. I was shocked to learn I had osteopenia. Honestly, I couldn’t believe it.That happens to other people… older people… not me. I had been on progesterone. I eventually added estrogen. I walked regularly. I took vitamin D. I knew about hormone therapy. And still… there it was. Looking back, I can see where I might have done things differently. I knew it was ideal to start hormone therapy earlier, but I wasn’t having symptoms, I was busy, and like so many of us, I put it off. A cobbler’s children have no shoes, right? Even as a doctor who has helped women with their hormones for decades… I didn’t fully advocate for myself the way I wish I had. And I know I’m not alone in that. Over time, I’ve felt moments of anxiety, frustration, and honestly… disappointment. Not because I didn’t “know better,” but because the guidance wasn’t always clear—even for me. And that’s something I see every day. Too many women are told to just “tough it out,” or are given outdated or incomplete information about what is safe and effective. And then later, we see the consequences—osteopenia, osteoporosis, and other changes that might have been preventable. What I’ve come to believe—both personally and professionally—is this: 👉 We have to be our own advocates.👉 And the best outcomes come from a thoughtful, proactive approach. That means looking at the whole picture: - nutrition - strategic supplementation - appropriate exercise - and, in many cases, hormone support An ounce of prevention really is worth a pound of cure. So why this group? Because women thrive in community. We spend so much of our lives taking care of others. Here, we get to take care of ourselves—and each other. This is a space where you can: - share what you’re experiencing - ask questions - talk about what’s working (and what’s not) - voice your fears without judgment - celebrate your progress
