Do you know "furikake"? Furikake ふりかけ — Japanese rice seasoning Furikake (ふりかけ) is a dry Japanese seasoning that you sprinkle on top of rice before eating. What's in it? It's usually a mix of dried seaweed (nori), sesame seeds, salt, sugar, and often dried fish flakes. There are many varieties — some have salmon, shrimp, egg, or even wasabi! How do you use it? Super simple — just open the packet and shake it over a bowl of hot white rice. That's it! You can also use it in onigiri (rice balls) or even on pasta. What does it taste like? Savory, slightly salty, and a little nutty from the sesame. It makes plain rice much more delicious! Where to buy it? You can find it at any Japanese grocery store in small packets or jars.
