Launching MVP of Noor El-Islam: A Legacy of Light and Guidance
I'm excited to share Noor El-Islam, a passion project I just completed—a simple,
mobile app designed to help new Muslims learn the essentials of Islam without feeling overwhelmed or lost.
The Story Behind It: This project is deeply personal. It's built on a beautiful idea shared by my late father, who recently passed away. He always stressed how difficult it can be for new Muslims to find one simple, non-intimidating place to learn everything from Wudu to Salah. I am dedicating this app to his memory, hoping it serves as Sadaqah Jariyah that continuously reflects his care for the community.
Additionally, the app is named Noor El-Islam, after my daughter's Name! I hope the light this app shares reflects her joy in my life.
🌿 Built for Simplicity We focused on a peaceful, practical journey:
Essentials First: It covers the basics on Day 1: the Shahada (with audio), Wudu, Salah, and Halal/Haram.
Calm & Mobile Design: A soothing mix of emerald green and gold, optimized entirely for your phone screen.
"Ask Noor" AI Helper 🤖: A simple chatbot built right in for quick, clear, and confidential answers to your sensitive questions.
Multi-Language Support: Instant language switching (English, French, Spanish, etc.).
Next Steps: The app is ready on the frontend! Now, I’m working on integrating the AI engine to fully power "Ask Noor."
