If You Are Not Doing This, You Are Seriously Limiting Your Business Growth
All successful entrepreneurs have one skill in common - focus.
But the modern world is making it harder than ever to focus.
A guide about deep work that helped me 10x my performance in my business:
For context
Since I’ve implemented deep work in 2021:
  • I generated over $2,300,000 in my sales career
  • Posted over 2200 pieces of content
  • 5x my productivity while working on average 5 hours a day
What is deep work?
Deep work is when you focus on your most important task without distractions.
When you are in deep work, your brain operates at its limits and you can create your best work.
This is how all elite performers in any field produce incredible work.
Why does deep work matter?
The world is getting more and more seductive.
There are so many opportunities and shiny objects fighting for your attention.
It is harder than ever to focus on your business.
But you only need a few hours of focused work to produce great results.
Schedule your deep work
Commit a specific time block in your calendar for deep work.
I use a 4-hour deep work block on weekdays from 7 a.m. to 12. p.m.
90% of elite performers do their deep work in the mornings.
By scheduling, you train your brain to focus on these periods.
Eliminate distractions
Distractions are the thieves of your dreams.
Create a distraction-free environment:
- silence notifications
- work in a quiet space
- inform others to not interrupt you
It takes your brain 17 minutes to go back to flow after an interruption.
It costs too much if it happens more than once a day.
Set clear targets
Define exactly what you want to achieve in your deep work session.
Clarity is the foundation of mastery.
Your brain needs a specific target to work in your favor.
For example, "record one loom video in 30 minutes".
Otherwise, you get caught up in doing low-value tasks.
Embrace boredom
Doing your most important work is not always fun.
Practice your ability to resist the temptations of distraction when work gets hard.
By doing the boring work, you train your focus muscles.
It's the same as lifting weights, to grow bigger muscles.
