Thought I'd write a bit more about this CPD course which starts on Thursday March 19th at 7pm GMT, live on zoom. This course might very well induce you to review your current client assessment form! What it most certainly will do, is ‘level up’ your approach to treating your clients. Provide a whole array of ways you can recognise and treat your clients’ physical ailments by ‘joining the dots’. It will open a whole new world to how you approach and treat them and even yourself. This is just some of what we will be covering:We will cover their function.What the symptoms are when they are not working correctly. You’d be amazed how many overlap. In the first class (19th March) we will be looking at the ICV and learning how to carry out Neurolymphatic massage. In the second class, 16th April, 7pm GMT live on zoom, we will be looking at the Vagus Nerve and techniques to improve the Vagal Tone. In the third class, 21st May live at 7pm GMT on zoom, you will have submitted a ‘report’ on your findings treating your own ICV/VN and another for a client you have treated/helped. PLEASE NOTE, THIS SERIES OF CLASSES ARE IN PERSON OR YOU CAN ATTEND ONLINE. During this series of five, once a month, in person or online classes, at my home in Ledbury, we will look at how Aromatherapy has evolved from infused oils and incense, through perfumery to physical and therapeutic application. At the end of each class, we will ‘make and take’ a bespoke blend of oils from each era. You will also receive a comprehensive handout on the history of ‘aromatic medicine’ from each era. The class schedule is as follows: #1 Egyptian (March), where we will look at incense, embalming and baths and this class will have us making a luxurious facial cream/serum from that period to your own individual recipe. #2 Greek/Roman period (April), where we will look to the likes of Hippocrates 'the father of modern medicine' and his peers. We will make a bath/massage oil again based on the oils from that period. “The way to good health is to have an aromatic bath and a scented massage every day," is widely attributed to Hippocrates. #3 Persian (May). A delicious period of aromatic oils. You will blend your own 'perfume' from oils that were available in that period to take home with you. #4 Medieval (June) apothecary and herbal gardens. We'll be making a blend of essential oils for a physical ailment you might have. #5 Victorian Britain (July) where Florence Nightingale first used Lavender oil in the Crimea war, and the Victorians began investigating the chemistry of Essential Oils. We'll be making a blend of oils for antiseptic/antiviral/antibacterial and probiotic use in your home. FOR IN PERSON ATTENDEES: The cost of the course is £40 per class to include comprehensive handouts and materials for your ‘make and take’. A non-refundable deposit of £50 will be required to secure your place with the remainder due at £30 each class/per month. You can also pay for the whole course in advance, instead of £200, you only pay £170, one class free. FOR ONLINE ATTENDEES: I will let you know what selection of materials you will need before each class. This means the cost is reduced to £170, but will be required to be paid in advance in full before the first class on the 24th March.
