@Matthew Sulpizi I've messaged Robin.
What would you like to learn or investigate?
I appreciate several of my courses can involve hands on training. A couple of these can be done over zoom. Also, several more require me to send out things like nasal inhalers/sniffy sticks as part of your course material. I do have a personal gripe that Classroom is set up in such a way that you are left to your own devices with no direct interaction with myself, (for example homeworks), to move you to the next module. Instead, you complete a module and "tick the box", with no direct interaction with myself. Hence the reason I set up the "Classes" tab to work round this. But there seems to be a lack of interest in courses and classes I offer. So, I have to question whether I am "over target" with why you are here and what you want and your expectations. 1. Are you here because it is in part like a Facebook "group" where you can read posts and like and comment, but that's it? 2. What would you like to see that you would engage with more other than a tick and the odd comment? 3. Do you engage to gain "points" so you can access the "rewards" in classroom? If not, why not? 4. What is it you would like to see when you come to our wee tribe? Please comment below or send me a message via chat.

@Windy Miller Thank you, yes it does. I have to admit I'm not sure about this "point system" either. We are not here to compete with each other, but to support each other in my view, whether you are a novice or a qualified complementary therapist. But hey ho, that part is what it is, and I prefer to use the Classroom tab as a reward for engagement. Hence the reason I started a classes sub-tab to keep "rewards" and "education" seperate. Thank you for commenting, it's appreciated.

Reference books and Training Manuals
Whilst I was looking for the screenshots to reply to @Matthew Sulpizi post about Sal's Aromatree book, https://www.skool.com/maverick-aromatherapy-3200/the-aroma-tree I stumbled across a wee video I had made a few years back, on all the books/training manuals available to my students, plus The Natural Approach to Essential Oils and My Journey with Essential Oils which are available to anyone. I am currently reviewing and double checking that the training manuals are up to date for my diploma students. I will also be looking into seeing if I can change the cover for the Essential Oil Practitioner Diploma, as I still haven't done that since I did the video! 😂 Finally, I have to make the decision now to collate all the Clinical level EO's into one book based on the same model as my original Natural Approach to Essential Oils book, 54 EO profiles. However, I'm pretty sure that I wont be able to get a further 70 EO's into one book because of the page number restrictions for a print run. I might have to split them into 5 seperate books to cover each "aspect" of your garden as set out in the model for The Natural Approach to Essential Oils, we shall see. Please note also, that the printing costs have gone up since I did this video, so the price of the books will also have to be reviewed. But at least the video explains each of the books.

The Aroma Tree
Have you ever heard of the Aroma Tree? There are many different systems and ways in which one can begin to learn the subtle yet therapeutic science of Aromatherapy, and the Aroma Tree model is one of them. This model classifies essential oils according to the different parts of the plant from which the essential oil is extracted, with each part representing certain therapeutic, psychological, and energetic properties. The Aroma Tree is an introduction to Aromatherapy, a way to understand essential oils in a more simplified yet profound way. It is based on the concept of the Doctorine of Signatures, however unlike the Doctrine of Signatures which focuses primairly on the physical appearance of a plant and its associations with the human body based on appearance (example heart shaped flowers are remedies for the heart, a walnut looks like the brain, so is a remedy for the head/mind, etc), the Aroma Tree model is more complex and it helps to 'recognise the many patterns and relationships between the physical wualities, aroma, phgarmacology, chemistry of essential oils and the part of the plant it comes from.' This wall poster, shown in the picture, is a beautiful image of the Aroma Tree showing: - Roots - Rhizomes - Wood - Resin - Fruit - Seeds - Leaves - Flowers A QUICK (not exhaustive) summary of each of these parts of the plant and therefore the 'energy' behind the essential oil which comes from said plant part: - Roots: calming, cooling, mystery, grounding, nourishing. - Rhizomes: courage, digestion, stimulating, warming - Wood: balance, calm, courage, insight, protection, relaxing, strength, wisdom. - Resin: incense, meditation, purification, sacred, spiritual, wound healing - Fruit: creativity, detoxifying, digestion, hepatoprotective, positivity, uplifting, vitality. - Seeds: creativity, detoxifying, digestion, growth, hepatoprotective, spicy, vitality. - Leaves: analgesic, antimicrobial, breathing, cephalic, confidence, digestion, energy, focus, metabolism - Flowers: compassion, confidence, relaxing, reproductive system, sensuality, sexuality, skincare, uplifting

I bought a copy of Sal's book when it was first published in 2019, and he signed it for me. 😊 It is well laid out and thoroughly researched with Sal quoting many other renowned Aromatherapists. However, if anyone is expecting more of a Directory/Encyclopaedia of individual oils they will be dissapointed. For example in chapter 5: Some challenging essential oils, over the 2 pages, he mainly discusses Patchouli EO, I was disappointed he not once mentions it it a herb and belongs to the mint family, and quotes Mojay and Worwood to come to his own conclusion that Patchouli's aroma sits it in the roots. Nevertheless, it is an excellent book. It's what I call a Sunday afternoon book, a joy to read. However, It is not a new concept in blending EO's from various plant parts, Sal gave it a name: Aromatree. Heck, even my book, which is a workbook and a directory, first published in 2016 is based on blending plant parts for what ails you, whether that be for emotional (fruit & seeds), mental (flowers), relationships (trees), physical (herbs) or dreams & aspirations (read spiritual and resins and exotics like grasses). I looked at blending plant parts based on the 5 aspects I have listed to formulate a blend for what ails you. See the diagrams below from my book. I have a class coming up on Monday 13th July: A&P of Plants: investigating the A&P of Plants, their correlation to human A&P and corresponding groups of EO's. By understanding the systems and mechanisms of plants we have a better understanding of which plants and/or their parts have a symbiotic relationship with ours. (see Classroom if you would like to register). Another class is: How Many Ways can we Blend EO's? This class is part of my Clinical Aromatherapy syllabus and being a 2 year course, it wont be happening again until 2027. There are 12 ways we can blend/formulate individual remedies that I can think of that I cover in this class. I'm thinking I should put this one up in Classroom too now 😊as a stand alone class.
