18/21 CREATIVITY IS A TEAM SPORT
You're Not Built to Do This Alone I used to look at super successful people and see them as gifted individuals who stood out from the pack. When I got closer to some of them, I realised they were really good at gathering talent and genius around them. A lot of their results came from the team they'd built, not just their own individual skill. It's hard to do this by yourself. Sometimes you're not motivated, sometimes the ideas aren't flowing, sometimes you're just stuck in a funk. That doesn't mean you're destined to fail as an entrepreneur. Sometimes you're just dysregulated, or you need more social support. We're not really built to do this solo. What that looks like in practice I'm not even shooting this course by myself. I've got people behind the scenes feeding me lines, giving me good energy, sense checking what we're doing. There's a technical support side, but maybe more importantly there's a nervous system piece. If you consider yourself neurodivergent, look into body doubling: working alongside other people to help you start, maintain, and finish, just by having someone around keeping you accountable. Most of us create better with people around us. On my own I can shoot, edit and upload one video a day. Working with others, I can knock out five or six. How to apply it You don't need to hire staff or build a production team. Just find a way to involve one other person in your creative process. That could be in person, on a body doubling Zoom call, or simply having someone hold the camera while you shoot. If you find someone you work well with, book one day a week to create content together. If you're still stuck on what to actually create, go back to your week one journaling and bring some of those ideas into the session. What's next Let us know below where and how you're going to find someone to body double with. If you're also looking for a co-working buddy, start a thread in the comments.

8/21 TRANSMISSION 2: COURAGE
Welcome to Week Two. The theme we're activating this week is courage. The word courage comes from the Latin, then the French, before finding its way into English. The word coeur means heart, but it also points toward our core, our spirit. To have courage is to operate from our spirit and our heart regardless of whether we feel fear, intimidation or anxiety. It is the ability to connect to who we really are and to communicate, express and take action from that place. Why is this important when we're talking about messaging? Because we're programmed on many levels to keep ourselves safe and to play small. Our reptilian and mammalian brains are designed for survival. They tell us to hide, not take risks and not endanger ourselves. Then we add human conditioning. Tribal status, belonging and fitting in all become tied to our sense of safety. Human beings are social primates. We're designed to fit in. So speaking your message, expressing yourself artistically and stepping into leadership all feel risky to the nervous system. And yet there is something in us that wants more than survival. If we want to thrive and contribute, we have to access courage. I've worked on sexuality and embodiment for twenty years and entrepreneurship for fifteen. Both are challenging. But I think the artistic path is even more vulnerable. It asks us to put our heart on the line. To share what's inside us. To reveal parts that are vulnerable or sensitive. To create work that genuinely moves people, we have to take a risk. We have to bare ourselves. We have to bare our soul. And we have to do it over and over again. The bigger risk isn't being judged. The bigger risk is reaching the end of your life and realising you never really expressed your gifts. That you never gave as much as you could. That you never fully showed up. Not making enough money would be disappointing. Not achieving certain goals might sting. But never expressing my real essence into the world would feel like a waste of my life.

I MADE SOMETHING COOL TODAY
I took a book that wasn’t quite done and stripped it down to the main framework (just 2500 words - an 8 minute read) and made a cover for it (shout out to everyone who gave feedback). If you’re building a business in the “transformational” space and you want help.. I have a variety or tools, courses and containers I’ll be launching. Also I’m going to open a small handful of 1:1 spots - let me know if your interested in those - they cost a little more but I can save ppl YEARS of work! Also.. let me know if you want the link to the ebook - it should be up tommorow.
