POLL: "Paid to Work (PTW)... or Paid to Own (PTO)?"
Travis dropped a KEEELER post over in Royalty Ronin a few days ago... About how we're all programmed to get PAID TO WORK (PTW)... "If you want more money... 😕Take on a part-time job... 😕Work more hours... 😕Add another client or partner..." And so on. Then he said piling on more work is "like trying to fix a kinked hose by turning up the water pressure." The fix? Get Paid to Own (PTO). Or as Travis puts it: "If I OWNED something other people wanted and could 'rent it out'... I could REMOVE a lot of my own energy from every dollar I made." Update on my first auction for a partner
Chris and I just did a "pre-auction" post for a partner last week to see if his people would bid for a DFY community offer He was pretty sure that it wouldn't work lol... Which is why I didn't try to convince or sell him on doing an auction We only sell a single and super simple pre-auction post as a TEST You've probably seen one before The "Would you bid $1 for this?" posts ZERO risk for me or for the partner And tells us within a couple minutes or hours if there's interest or not. So we posted the test last Monday at 4pm... And by 4:30pm 28 people said they would bid! Today we have over 100 people saying they will bid with dozens of likes and comments too. Needless to say the partner is on board now... He's EVEN asking us when we can get started lol. So we are planning the auction for next week. I dig em because there’s very little copy to write. And it doesn't take any convincing to get a partner. Plus… they are the most pre-sold leads in the history of pre-sold leads! They close at 50% to 95% and upgrade at 50%+ (this means almost zero sales skill required.) I dunno what the results will be like... and don't wanna jinx it lol But our cut will be 30% of the auction revenue. I will keep you folks in the loop once we get there. Until then though... The 17 year old who never found a single customer 🕹️
Warren Buffett wanted to make money off pinball machines as a teenager. He did not go find people who wanted to play pinball. He put the machines in barbershops. 💈 The barber already had a room full of bored guys waiting their turn. Guys with nothing to do and coins in their pocket. Buffett didn’t add one thing to that barber’s day. Didn’t ask him to sell anything. Didn’t ask him to learn anything. Didn’t ask him to post every day or build a funnel. Just made him the guy with the cool thing in his shop. Then split the money with him. That’s it. That’s the whole business. A 17 year old figured out something most of us are still trying to brute force 30 years later... You don’t need to go find a hundred customers. You need to find ONE person who already has them sitting in a room, bored. 🤷 Somebody out there has your customers right now. They’re not your competition.
