IMA BF Deal Loser! 😢
I wish I were the confident, winner type... But Ima loser because I've got... No big BF deal today… Howeeeevvaaa... My new book: Rooting For Ya is waiting for ya on Amazon. It’s a steal. I’m thinking if you add it to your cart with the rest of the BF shopping… JUST… One tactic. One idea. One strategy… From the book might pay for EVERYTHING in your cart today. Rooting for Ya, Travis PS Special thanks to @Jeff Claassen Without him this book series would’ve never happened. PPS Thank you @Tony Teegarden for letting me steal your photo! PPPS Grab Rooting For Ya here. If that link doesn't work? Just search: Rooting For Ya on Amazon and it should pop right up just about anywhere in the world.

It's such an easy read too! Tons of insights through out! Quick question... why is it Volume 11?

@Travis Sago ha ha should have figured since you’re such a rule breaker!
Today is my 9 year wedding anniversary...
And we had a terrible day. We’ve all been sick for days. I had to go back to my day job today. My wife spent the whole day alone with 2 sick toddlers who decided today was the day to test the limits. I came home to chaos. Kids yelling. Exhausted wife. I had to go straight into enforcer mode. The rest of the night sucked. Not exactly the anniversary we planned. This is exactly why I’m building what I’m building. Not to buy fancy stuff or flex for social media. For days like today. So we can celebrate our anniversary instead of just survive it. I subscribe to the ā€œextreme ownershipā€ philosophy that every outcome you achieve (or don’t) is directly controlled by you. I know there are outside forces. But whether you build the life you want or not is totally up to you. And I have a lot working against me. I can make the day job excuse all I want. But that’s mine to deal with cause guess what? I’m not where I want to be yet. I AM a hell of a lot closer than I was this time last year. And it doesn’t really matter whether I have a day job or not. Because I’m not giving myself another fucking option. I will not beat my body down at a job for another 30 years. I won’t spend the rest of my life being the stressed about money dad/husband who can’t give my family the best version of me. I will put the lake in my backyard. Or I will die trying. I don’t have any other option. So here’s to 9 years with my best friend. Even on the hard days. Especially on the hard days.

Happy anniversary! God's got you man. After 18 years of marriage I've had some bad anniversaries too. That's the reality but I can tell you the really good anniversaries make you forget about the bad ones!
Travis called me out…
A few months ago I asked Travis for advice on joining a new program to add another income stream. His reaction wasn’t what I expected. He said ā€œYou already have everything you need to make more money than you know what to do with. Constantly searching for a new financial vehicle is going to cost you a lot of moneyā€ And of course he’s right. Shiny object syndrome kills a lot of people. It has done a number on me over the years. I watch Travis work and part of me sees a guy who does so many different things and makes it look easy. Guess what? I’m not Travis. I have very limited time and bandwidth. I need to focus. Stay narrow and go deep. Even though Travis makes money in 50-11 different ways… he also sticks to the basics and has his bread and butter tactics. When I first started learning from him in October 2024 I asked ā€œbased on all the different things you teach, what’s the 1 thing I should do first?ā€ His response was ā€œFun Auction!ā€ Over a year later and what’s he been talking about non stop the last few weeks in multiple groups? Fun auctions! The fundamentals work. They’ve always worked. They’ll keep working. But only if you actually stick with them long enough to see results. I’ve wasted years chasing the next thing. The next strategy. The next program. The next ā€œbreakthrough.ā€ I’ve had some success lately. I also have a long list of half finished projects and a lot of lessons about what NOT to do. The real breakthrough came when I stopped looking for breakthroughs… I do well when I pick one approach and commit. Look at what’s already in front of you. You might already have everything you need. We just need to focus long enough to see it through.

I don't buy many trainings anymore because after having Travis's stuff, nothing else feels right. One exception is if its from someone who learned under Travis. Seeing how they understand and apply his methods helps give me a better understanding. I'll also buy a program as part of an investment into researching a partner that I want to work with. $99 - $300 to get a better understanding of what makes a partner unique is worth it. My problem is I buy a lot of licensed stuff to resell and then get some sales and go on to the next shiny licensed offer. I'm working on cutting that down too.
WANTED: Could I pay you ENOUGH to do this?
Most of my biz friends have done free Zooms and webinars… BUT… What if they were guaranteed an amount (and paid in advance) before they did one? (And they didn’t have to do one lick of selling.) Question for ya… šŸ‘‡ šŸ‘‰How much would it take for YOU to be HAPPY putting on a paid 2 hour Zoom for your people? Rooting for Ya, Travis PS Thank you in advance for your help! šŸ™ If I can get enough responses, I’ll share how I just sold paid Zooms for $30,000 to a small tribe of my peeps. I AM also looking for people I can pay! šŸ‘‡šŸ‘‡šŸ‘‡

Even though I'm bumbly as Columbo on Exlax 😜 getting on camera, I'd be open to doing it.
"Can you hop on a quick call?"Ā
Hey Chooser. If you deal with clients you’ve heard this too many times. "Can you hop on a quick call?" It's never quick. And it always happens during dinner. Right before bed. Saturday morning. At your kid's game.. Because when you have clients you're always on call. They're paying you, so you answer. Even when you're exhausted. Even when it's your day off. Even when you're with your family. The more clients you get, the worse it gets. I talked to a friend last week who has 6 different clients. Making good money… but also getting Slack messages at 10pm. "Quick question" texts on Sunday. Scope creep on every project. Great money… But less freedom than ever. That's the trap nobody talks about. He didn't build the lifestyle business we’re all after. He just added more bosses. Is the price worth it? Spending nights answering "quick questions". Weekends catching up on scope creep. Not being present with family. We see it all the time. People grinding harder and harder. Making more money. But having less freedom than when they started. There's a different way. And it doesn't require you to work harder or get more clients.

Because hopping on phone calls gives me the bubble guts, I try to keep it all via email. I usually tell them email helps me keep track of it better. Of course I've transitioned away from service provider work and the one client I still have doesn't ask for much.
