This is the podcast by Daniyal Sheikh with Haroon Khalil which I had watched and was so relieved that this is a calling from Allah to explore. And so I did.
I loved all the videos in the classroom, they were giving me peace to listen to something reassuring. But I felt like I'm not doing it correctly. I'm missing something. So I went back to the same video that convinced me to be here in the first place. This time I had kept a pen and a notebook with me to take notes and remind myself why I am here. It acts like a whole summery of what he is doing in Mind Valley School and how to become a productive member. So here are my key take aways.
Freelance Market Dynamics:
Upwork currently has 4,000 to 8,000 video editing jobs available, with many more in AI and automation niches.
Despite demand, there is a shortage of skilled freelancers in Pakistan, which creates massive opportunity.
Earning potential is high, with jobs worth thousands of dollars available daily.
Investing in Upwork “connects” (paid bidding tokens) is a worthwhile marketing boost similar to Facebook ad boosts, enabling freelancers to get client visibility and secure jobs.
Further more connects are not a scam but a strategic investment that can yield substantial returns if used properly.
Charging about 5 connects per client's click on your profile which is 210rs. Or max 420 rs if there are 2 client clicks on your profile. But they generate an earning in a lot more than Rs.
The school offers a
free community, 5 free courses, rest of them unlock after you achieve points.
a paid community has 10 courses, and
a high-ticket partnership program for top performers which is selected on merit.
New members start in the free community to learn fundamentals before advancing to paid programs if ready.
The goal is to build a supportive Pakistani freelancer ecosystem that helps members grow personally and financially.
The school operates on a merit and readiness basis, avoiding forced enrollments.
Community Support and Growth:
The community encourages daily journaling of tasks, notes about watched videos in the classroom, shared learning, and collaboration among hundreds of members working together.
Basically the journalling and notes show the community and Haroon Khalil an account of the time spent in the 30 days towards making a valid effort to start earning. It is an account of dedication, discipline, mindset building, ownership of actions and mindfulness to Allah's blessings.
Key work methods/ Departments:
It supports various freelancer roles:
sales (bringing in work),
Client management (briefing), and
Actual service delivery (product making)
Members can specialize in one or more roles, and some have earned millions through focused efforts in just one area like client management or product making.
Emphasizes that full-stack freelancing is not mandatory. Nor that every job requires a laptop, sales or business development can be done on a cell phone. And this is what I am currently fit to do.
In the end this key advise was what gave me reassurance.

Vo aap Allah Pak p chor do. Ap ka kam hai Sirf mehnat karna aap mahanat karo, duain karo, Allah pak se connected raho apni galatiyo pe nazar rakho, blame dusro pay shift na karo. "
These are my personal key points that I had to write down for my understanding. As I kept forgetting many points and how this community works. If you find them beneficial, then say a Dua for me that would mean the world to me.
