Estimated budget sometimes is a click bait from clients to lure the freelancer into applying on the job post and once they have delivered everything they came to know about the low paying budget of the client, so do not assume that the budget they are writing on their job is accurate, either its low budget or hight budget

After checking all these things at one glance from outside the job post and Making sure the job post is good then we will open the job and look for these things
1. Payment method and phone is verified or not ?
2. Reviews and total number of jobs the client has posted and kind of reviews he is getting if the client is getting ghosting reviews then he will ghost you as well, if the client is being too harsh on others then he will be harsh on you as well so make your division very carefully
3. Country, City name, so that you can know what kind of a client this might be poor rich, scam, real
4. Number of jobs posted, hire rate%, if the hire percentage is lower than 60% then they might ghost you, because the lower the hire rate the more chances of you being ghosted by the client because client is not looking serious
5. Total spent, how many hires, how many active jobs
6. Company niche, company size this will help you understand the client more
7. Member since date this will help you to know that client is new on the platform or he is an old user, if he is an old user and posting jobs but payment method is not verified then he might not be a good client because he is user of the platform but have not paid anyone through upwork,
8. Job link, you will copy job link from here to connect tracking sheet
9. Project budget sometimes its accurate sometimes its not, so its just a placeholder budget, real budget is when you close the client sometimes clients budget is $500 but you can close them for higher rate as well, so it depends on your sales skills
10. Level of expertise required by the client entry level intermediate level, expert level
11. Contract to hire opportunity this shows that the job can be long term
12. Project Type: Ongoing project, one time project
13. Job questions we need to save templates of these job post questions and then we will be copy and pasting them, we can't make so many looms every time because we need speed bidding
14. Skills and expertise make sure you have these skills and expertise listed on your profile and make sure you are getting hired for these keyword jobs because when client is searching for profiles there is a small data that upwork shows to client about the freelancer which is how many projects this freelancer has done in the past for this keyword, for example if the client is looking for video editor then upwork will show him that this freelancer has done 40 similar jobs, if we don't rank on these keywords carefully then upwork will not show our clients that we are the experts
15. Preferred qualifications this will tell you about the client
16. Job Success Score At least 90% (this means client is serious about hiring and he is not looking for cheap freelancers that have JSS below 90% (JSS = job success score)
17. English level Fluent (this shows seriousness of client as well)
18. Selected countries if the client is selecting third world countries then he might be looking for cheaper options

26. You need to check these things in client history very carefully
27. Job title this will help you to understand the job more, if job requirements are for experts then the job budget should be high, if the client is hiring for bigger jobs but spending very low budget that will show us that this client is not going to pay us good amount
28. Hiring period date date (this will help you how long this job was) the longer the job the more budget client should have spent, if the job is long and budget is low then the client might not be a big client, you need to see the same pattern in other jobs posted by this client, because this is a very small red flag if this happens only in one job, if this red flag is being repeated again and again then its a problem
29. Rating this is important, we need to know what kind of a person our client is, so we will pay close attention to this, if the rating is low then there is a problem but we will go into details and see every review that the client has got

31. Client name: this is v important, client name can help you to figure out their city, country their race, their budget, their company. (All of this just because we need more information about the client so that we can make our decision)

33 Freelancer name country, rates why they hired this freelancer (if the client is hiring from asian or third world countries then there are chances that they are looking for cheaper options, if the client is only hiring foreigners then there are chances that they will not hire us and prioritise some native person we need to use english profiles in such scenarios

35. After Checking all the things, then you can read the job post, we are reading job post at last because we do not wanna waste our time in reading long job posts and then rejecting it due to a red flag

When you read the job post Check if the client is asking you to take a shortcut and do the job that means they are not very serious about their work for example, some clients hire professional voice over artist, and some clients just want to save money and ask you to make Al voice overs for their long videos, if we are making ads then Al voice over is fine)
37. Now you need to find out the client situation via his job post, we need to know who is the client, what he do, what kind of work he wants us to do and why, does he have an agency, or he is hiring for a client or himself, which niche he is in
38. Pay attention to client words, if the client is using very assertive words then they might be bad client, some clients are very strict with their words, that means they will be strict when they are giving you feedback as well,
