Updated journal format.
Date: 16th May 2026
Day: Saturday
One thing I want to remember about today:
I did Eid shopping today 🤩😝. There was a choice between my modesty and following trends, and I chose modesty over trends. I’m proud of myself 🥹.
What time did I sleep last night and when did I wake up?
I slept at around 12:00 AM and woke up at 4:40 AM.
Prayed Fajr, read Surah Yaseen, and slept again.
Then woke up again at around 8:00 AM.
What data will I look up after a month or a year?
I didn’t quit here. The phase I’m going through is where most people quit because it’s getting harder, but I’m still showing up.
Reminders:
1. Don’t compare yourself with others. They haven’t been in your shoes. Their struggles are different.
2. Count your small wins too. Appreciate yourself.
3. Help people without expecting anything in return.
4. Maintain good character.
5. Never compromise on your morals and values. NEVER.
Day Start Section
Most Important 1-3 Tasks:
(I didn’t do anything “productive” today, so here’s what mattered to me)
1. Eid shopping🤩
2. Had guests at home. I was tired but still posted on LinkedIn and the Skool community.
3. Didn’t do anything else important today. What should I write here?😔
What I don’t want to do today:
Wait, when do we write the Day Start Section? I’m really confused. You people can help me. AI told me to write day start section after waking up and day close section before sleeping. Right?
Diet + Gym + Boxing: ye 3 kaam mein bilkul nhi kr rhi abhi. For boxing, I can give it a try.😁
- Breakfast: Chai and biscuits.
- Lunch: Masar chawal (I love them😋).
- Dinner: Masar chawal 😋.
- Gym: I have no connection with the gym or exercise right now.
- Practice: I’m practicing outreach, talking to random people about their business problems.
- Speaking: Nothing today.
Day Close Section
Wins of the Day:
- Completed my 5 daily prayers.
- Did daily Quran recitation.
- Did morning and evening azkar.
- Read a tafseer lesson. (These 4 are non-negotiable for me)
- Posted on LinkedIn.
- Woke up early.
- Reading posts that tell me I'm not wasting my time here. Ayesha, gul, maryum. I got so happy after reading your reviews about my journals and my posts. You guyz keep me motivated. So THANK YOU.🫶🏻
Mistakes / Learnings:
I preferred someone else’s opinion over mine. I think I’ll regret it, but let’s see.
Prayer Times:
- Fajr: 4:40 AM
- Zohar/Jumma: 3:25 PM
- Asr: 5:45 PM
- Maghrib: 7:10 PM
- Isha: 10:30 PM
- Tahajjud: Didn’t pray
