NOTES- What is freelancing (vid 1)
Freelancing ka matlab hai k koi job ya koi project jo ghr me beth k krsken aur paise kama sken, apne pace pe.
jabke traditional job mai roz on site jakay job krni prti hai.
Freelancing me 9 to 5 wala loop toot jata hai
Basic principals of freelancing
  1. Self discipline and time management 
Isme apko khudko disciplined and dedicated rkhna prta hai. Discipline nai hoga to time manage nai karpaenge, dedicated nai hongy to project k bad project pe kaam nai krpaenge.
-- apne apko as a business imagine kr k kaam krna hai because business = team. Business, team se grow krti hai, aur freelancer soch k kaam krne s akele hi rehjaenge aur grow bhi nai krpaenge.
  1. Client communication 
Client communication aani chahiye, q k clients ki zarurt ko smjhna aur uske mutabiq kaam kr k unki expectations ko meet kr krna aur unko updates dete rehna boht zaruri hai. Communication nai hogi to client ko pata nai chlaega uska kaam kahan tk pohncha ya apko uski need smjh m aayi bhi ya na. Communication ek aisi chiz he jo wakt k sath improve hoti rehti hai, aur apko acha khaasa experience ajata hai.
  1. Quality work 
Hamesha apne work ka best dena hai. Quality mai koi farq nai ana chaiye.
  1. Consistency and commitment 
Har project ko puri dedication k sath krna chahiye , shuru shuru mai raat jaag k kaam krna , pura din kaam krna is perfectly fine. AGR apka end goal apke pass hai.
For example, apka end goal ye he k mujhe ek agency own krni hai graphic design ki. Now ye apka end goal hai aap ispe raaten jaag k mehnat krrhy ho paise kama rhy ho quality work kr k derhy ho, phir ek time aisa ata hai project itny zyada hojaty hen aap manage nai krpaty, phir apko logo ko hire krna prta hai, to ye apka second step hojata hai. Kiski trf? Apke end goal , apki apni agency ki taraf.
To apke pass apka end goal hona zaruri hai. End goal nai hoga, ap as a freelancer kaam krty rehjaogy , project juggle krne ki koshish m quality compromise hojaegi , timing out hojaegi aap deadline miss krdogy, as a result, aap ne jahan shuru kia tha usse bhi niche aa k khady hojaogy.
Han end goal ho, aap mehnat kro, phir aahista aahista apni life normal krlo, usko balance krlo.
  1. Portfolio and feedback 
Agr aapne wo kaam kia hai jo client chahta hai to sirf kuch chizen dikhao, sab dikhaogy wo confuse hojaega. Secondly, agr nai dikha skty, trial offer krdo, kaho mai apko trial kr k dikha deti hun, pasnd aya to baqi ka kaam dedena , nai psnd aya to koi bat nai wese bhi free tha aapke liye. Thirdly, client k testimonials dikhao, q k m n use bharosa dilana hai.
  1. Networking and relationship building 
Client ko value dena zaruri hai, ye chizen relationship build krti hen. Iske zariye new opportunities bhi milti hen.
  1. Negotiation skills 
Boht zruri he negotiate krna , ye skills business mai boht faydamand saabit hoti hen.
  1. Continous learning 
Seekhna boht zaruri hai , evolve krna hai era k sath. Kabhi rukna nai seekhna.
  1. Financial management 
Freelancers ko apna revenue aur spend track krna zaruri hai.
  1. Work life balance 
Ye boht mushkil hota hai, ek din balance na hua koi bat nai mgr long term nai jana chahiye. Tab apne apko push kro balance krne k liye.
WHAT I LEARNED:
  1. mujhe khudko dedicate krna hai apne kaam ko.
  2. mujhe client communication seekhni hai
  3. no matter the pay, i have to deliver quality work.
  4. i have to stay committed and consistent
  5. offer trial/show only relevant examples/show testimonials
  6. i should provide some extra value for the client to build relationship
  7. i should have negotiation skills.
  8. never stop learning
  9. tracking of revenue, tax, spent is the most important
  10. i should learn to balance my work and my life.
