Missing Salah Isn’t Just Skipping a Prayer, It’s Disconnecting From the One Who Created You.
Why has Allah prescribed such a big punishment for leaving Salah? Like even leaving a single Salah is very serious in sight of Allah. Why is that? If someone is a very good human being and doesn’t harm anyone, but doesn’t pray, why is Allah still angry at that person?
Answer:
1. Because salah isn’t just a ritual. It’s a declaration of loyalty and obedience. Allah created us to obey Him and spend life as He told us to.
Imagine you travelling to another country, staying there, taking advantage of their resources and all, but not obeying their laws. Not living according to their rules. Doesn’t matter you are a good citizen, you have to follow their rules. Besides What good are you if you are not obeying rules and laws of Allah.
2. Because Salah is what keeps our relationship with Allah alive.
3. Because Salah is requirement of our soul, the most important part of us. And most human beings are very dheet and need a strong warning and consequence
إِنَّنِي أَنَا اللَّهُ لَا إِلَـٰهَ إِلَّا أَنَا فَاعْبُدْنِي وَأَقِمِ الصَّلَاةَ لِذِكْرِي
بے شک میں ہی اللہ ہوں، میرے سوا کوئی معبود نہیں، پس میری عبادت کر اور میری یاد کے لیے نماز قائم کر
