I ATTENDED WALIMA | Journal

Wake Time: 12:00 PM

Sleep Time: 4:00 AM

Daily Log:

12:00 PM – 3:00 PM:

After waking up, I checked messages from my close friend and then helped my university friend prepare a PowerPoint presentation.

3:00 PM – 6:00 PM:

Went to the salon to get ready for the walima event.

6:00 PM – 7:00 PM:

Returned home from the salon, got the ride, and we all left for the walima.

7:00 PM – 12:00 AM:

The walima took place at Kallisto Marquee, Bahria Phase 7. I reached, found a suitable seating spot, and sat comfortably in the chair, and folded the wheelchair. Soon after, my entire family gathered around to meet me. I kept telling everyone not to touch my head so my makeup wouldn’t get ruined, show your love on my hands instead 😅. Most of the relatives who came to meet me kept asking who they were. I said, “I didn’t recognize you?” and then either they told me themselves or my mother introduced them to me. Some people I remembered, but some I hadn’t seen in many years, so I couldn’t recall them.

Actually, I lost my memory a few years ago when I became seriously ill in 2019, so I don’t remember everyone. With time, whenever I meet someone again, I slowly remember who they are.

I wore an online-ordered purple maxi with full work on it, and kept having my photoshoot throughout the event. The bride looked stunning in her light pink maxi dress. The bride and groom also came to meet me, and my cousin (the groom) brought food for me, insisting I would try this because it was delicious.

Both my mother’s and father’s sides of the family came to meet me. Also, the food was amazing, and there were all kinds of dishes. I enjoyed the salad, fish, beef roast, cake, rice, and some Coke. Alhamdulillah, the event was beautifully arranged, and my cousins had put a lot of effort into it.

12:00 AM – 1:00 AM:

booked the ride, and then when the ride came, I met another QZN bro. He's quite funny, and I talked to him and then told him I am doing software engineering and am a graphic designer. He was surprised that I am doing a lot, and he himself can't even study😅. Then he helped me to sit in the car, and we returned home with my mom and brother.

1:00 AM – 4:00 AM:

Changed my dress, removed my makeup, and sat with my family. I massaged my mom’s legs as she was very tired. After she slept, I also went to bed.

4:00 AM:

Finally went to sleep.
