4 things that worked for me | overthinking
💥Pattern 1
You focus on the gap between where you are
and where you want to be.
Not the next step
just the distance.
And the distance feels unbearable.
About the gap thing:
I felt like I was standing on the roof of a building. My next step should be going down to the nearest floor. But my mind kept focusing on the ground level the very end instead of the next floor.
So what I did was forget about the end goal. I stopped trying to motivate myself from it too.
I stayed calm and focused only on the next step like there’s fog everywhere, and I can only see one step clearly.
💥Pattern 2 :
You stop valuing small progress
because small actions don’t solve the “big identity problem” you created.
I realized that at this point, my brain is wired to think and “work in the background” no matter what. It needs something to process.
So I replaced thinking about the unlimited problems it keeps creating with childhood memories instead. And that actually helped. My mind became calm because "it couldn’t find a problem to solve there."
And another thing I accepted:
Everyone wants to reach the destination quickly. But right now, my personality feels more suited to train travel than plane travel. I’m in a reflective mode. I want to observe the journey, not rush it.
4th one:
You are exactly where you’re supposed to be.
Whether you see it as divine timing or just a mindset accepting this removes regret. And without regret, there’s peace.
And strangely, when I stopped chasing the ground from the roof…
I started actually moving down the stairs...
I stopped trying to solve my whole life at once.
I stopped trying to become a different identity overnight.
I just became someone who takes the next visible step.
....and sorry for being too deep lol
