…latest project…
Can I show you my latest project—a pair of wrist warmers for my friend’s grandma? Since her arthritis is getting worse, she asked me to make her a pair of wrist warmers. She picked the green because it goes so well with her favorite sweater… 😅 The colored stripe breaks up the green a bit… it makes it a little more charming I would’ve chosen a different color, but she absolutely loves it…

The Classic Stripe 🧶
There's a reason stripes never go out of style. Two colours or more, a simple sequence, and suddenly you have something that feels completely your own. Change the width and it goes from bold graphic statement to delicate detail. Swap the yarn weight and the whole mood shifts. 📌Use up those smaller cones sitting on your shelf and you've got something fresh without spending a penny. Stripes are also one of the best ways to start exploring colour on the machine — no complex intarsia, no floats to manage, just the quiet satisfaction of watching something beautiful grow, row by row. I'd love to know — what's your favourite stripe combination? Classic navy and cream? Something unexpected? Or are you a solid-colour knitter who's never quite taken the plunge? Drop your thoughts below 👇 or even better, share a photo 📷 of a striped piece you've made. Let's fill the feed with colour. 🌈
