Welcome to June, Lovelies! Last month, we touched on the energetics of May's season change. In Ayurveda, June is a sharp, intense, transformative season where the external environment moves into a heightened Pitta element (Fire/Water) Top Recommendations: - Stay well hydrated. Use sea salt & coconut water to ensure you replenish minerals lost from sweat (Sodium, Potassium & Magnesium!) 🥥🍍 - Walk bare foot on the grass/ground as often as possible. Listen to the trees & leaves rustle. Sit near a stream or the ocean. This will help disperse HOT energy & ground you if you’re feeling dry, flighty or anxious 🍃 - Eat smaller meals more often - your digestive fire often disperses in order to keep us cool. This hinders our digestive strength, so heavy meals are not ideal. - Reduce red meat intake - seafood, poultry and shrimp are lighter options. try adding adzuki beans, black beans, chickpeas or mung beans. - Include sweet, bitter and astringent tastes.
