Over the years I have studied and practiced many kinds of meditation and mindfulness. From Shambhala meditation, to Vispassanna, Yoga and Asanas, Singing and Mantras, Tonglen, Metta, to candle gazing and movement as a meditation. All of these have given me deeper insights into my thinking process, my "monkey mind" and all of my racing ideas and thoughts. Slowing down my breathing. Slowing my walking. Becoming more mindful in every moment. Feeling my feet on the ground. Tasting my water. Sensing my surroundings. Noticing my negative thoughts and giving myself a chance to acknowledge them and choose again- a different more supportive thought or belief. The more I practice mindfulness the better my life becomes. There's the concept that our lives that we see outside of ourselves is simply a projection of our beliefs. So when we are calm, loving, compassionate and patient with ourselves and others, Life reflects that goodness back to us. What techniques do you use for a CLEAR MIND?
