Stop paying $200/month for lead databases — here's a free alternative most people overlook
Real talk: I used to pay for ZoomInfo, Apollo, and a couple of other lead databases. Combined cost was pushing $400/month. Then I realized that for local business leads specifically, Google Maps has everything I need — and you can pull it all out with the right tool. Here's what Google Maps gives you for free (publicly available data): - Business name - Phone number - Website - Full address - Star rating + review count - Business hours - Business category That's literally the same data I was paying Apollo for. The difference is Google Maps is updated constantly by the businesses themselves, so the data is often more accurate than third-party databases. The tool I use to extract it: Coreclaw Google Maps Scraper. Takes about 5 minutes to pull a full city's worth of businesses in any niche. My current workflow: 1. Scrape a niche + city combo (e.g., "personal injury lawyers in Houston") 2. Export to CSV 3. Filter out businesses with websites that look modern and well-maintained (they probably already have good marketing help) 4. Focus outreach on businesses with: no website, or a website that looks like it was built in 2010, or fewer than 10 reviews 5. These are the easiest conversations — they already know they have a problem I've completely replaced my paid lead database subscriptions for local outreach. The only thing I still use Apollo for is SaaS/tech company prospecting where Google Maps doesn't have coverage.

🚀 Been quietly building something for local lead generation lately…
I built a tool called CoreClaw that helps scrape targeted local business leads from Google Maps. You can pull: ✅ business names ✅ emails ✅ phone numbers ✅ websites ✅ social profiles ✅ reviews & ratings Good for: • local SEO • cold outreach • agency prospecting • lead generation • niche + city targeting Right now I’m looking for real feedback from people actually doing outreach or local client acquisition. So I’m giving community members:💰 1,000 free local business leads to test All I ask: 👉 try it 👉 break it 👉 tell me what sucks / what’s missing / what would make it actually useful If your feedback gets implemented, I’ll happily give you more lead credits 👍 Just comment or DM me with: • niche • city/location Example: “roofers in Dallas” “dentists in Miami” “realtors in Chicago” Curious to see what kinds of local lead workflows people here are running 👀

Google Maps Scraper vs Generic Lead Database
Most generic lead databases are outdated fast. A Google Maps scraper gives you fresher local business data because it pulls from real local listings. For agencies and marketers, this is useful when targeting: • Dentists • Roofing companies • Realtors• Attorneys • Insurance agencies • HVAC companies • Local service businesses The strongest workflow I’ve seen: 1. Pick a niche 2. Pick a city 3. Extract Google Maps leads 4. Filter by website, reviews, and contact info 5. Run personalized cold outreach 6. Example: “Roofing companies in Chicago”works much better than a broad business list. Has anyone here tested niche + city targeting? 👉Get 1000 free sales leads

How Agencies Find Local Business Leads in 2026
Finding local business clients is getting harder. Most generic lead databases are overcrowded and outdated. Lately I’ve been testing: • Google Maps prospecting • Local SEO workflows • Cold outreach systems • Niche + city targeting Interesting finding: Highly localized leads convert much better than broad B2B lists. Example: “Dentists in Miami” beats generic business lists almost every time. I’ll be sharing more local lead workflows and experiments here.
