Make sure you advertise your own advertising!
When you see adverts in the press, watch TV, or listen to the radio, you’ll often notice them promoting the benefits of advertising with them.
This is called incoming lead generation.
Instead of waiting for advertisers to appear, media outlets actively show businesses why placing adverts with them works. They demonstrate the results, explain the opportunity, and invite businesses to take part.
It’s a simple but powerful idea: advertise the power of your advertising.
This week I’ve created my own incoming lead generation video for Withington TV and posted it in local Facebook groups.
In the video, I explain what my channel does.

And I can say this with confidence, because I’ve seen it happen again and again. When a video goes live, people who are sitting at home scrolling suddenly see a place they want to visit. The food looks great, the atmosphere looks inviting, and the decision to go happens instantly.
Within 20 minutes, people start arriving.
That’s the power of well-crafted video with a clear call to action. It doesn’t just build awareness. It moves people to act.
So this short clip is doing exactly what media outlets have done for decades. It shows businesses the potential, explains the benefit, and creates incoming enquiries from people who want the same results.

For many years I have run a project called Anglesey TV.
