Living Strong Community Introduction: Meet Amanda Antonini
In every community, there are people who carry a passion most of the world never takes the time to understand.
Not loud passion.
Not performative passion.
The quiet kind—built on responsibility, patience, and care.
I’d like to introduce you to , founder of Medusa's Reptile.
Amanda has been working with reptiles since she was a child. At ten years old, growing up in Port Richmond, Pennsylvania, she brought home her first ball python. What started as curiosity became a calling by the time she was twelve—a clear sense that caring for these animals wasn’t just something she liked… it was part of who she was.
Since then, Amanda has walked a path that includes professional animal care, hands-on rescue, rehabilitation, and education. She approaches reptiles the way Living Strong approaches life: with calm, respect, and consistency. She understands what many don’t—reptiles are not objects or novelties. They are intelligent, curious, living beings that respond to how they are treated.
One of the things that sets Amanda apart is her willingness to educate without judgment. She meets curiosity where it lives. Whether someone is nervous, unsure, or simply fascinated, Amanda believes questions are the doorway to understanding.
Over the coming days, Amanda will be sharing answers with anyone in our community who is curious about snakes and reptiles:
  • What they’re really like
  • How to care for them responsibly
  • What people often get wrong
  • How to approach them with respect rather than fear
She brings real-world experience—from daily care routines to rescue stories that remind us what responsibility truly looks like when an animal depends on you.
If you’ve ever been curious about reptiles—or if you’ve only known them through fear or misinformation—this is an invitation to listen, learn, and ask questions.
Amanda doesn’t promise to convince you to love reptiles.
She simply offers understanding.
And sometimes, that’s where Living Strong begins.
