🪱 Worm Farm Hangout
Join the Worm Farm Hangout here: 🔗 https://www.skool.com/live/zRBSzM3JjlB Our friend @Rick Redding had a great idea for creating a community hangout room, so I thought I'd give it a try starting July 1. This is a place for anyone in the community to hop on, chat, ask questions, share what you're working on, or just get to know other worm farmers. Whether you're brand new or have been worm farming for years, everyone is welcome. I'll jump in from time to time when I can, but this space is really for all of us to connect and learn from each other. Welcome to Living Soil with Cherene!
I created this community to make worm composting, living soil, and healthier plant systems feel less overwhelming and more organized! Check out the classroom tab for a self paced learning system and utilize this community for learning and connecting! Instead of digging through endless comments and videos, I wanted one place where people could: -learn step by step -ask questions -connect with others -grow healthier plants from the soil up Feel free to introduce yourself in the comments! Tell us: - where you’re from - what worms you have (or want) - whether you’re brand new or experienced - what you’re hoping to learn I’ll keep building this space over time with videos, resources, discussions, and live support. If you’re new to worm composting or living soil, welcome! You’re in the right place! :)

Naturally cultured chow?
Do I just mix in microbial soil into my worm bin rather than the frozen veggies for food? For the mini tower of mystery juvinile worms 🪱 Count:28
Naturally cultured chow?
Okay am I doing something wrong?
As you guys may know I started my worm bin a little over a week ago , the past two days , when I opened the lid to look at them , they are all on the sides and not inside of the soil , which is coco id say about 10 of them atleast close to the holes i made for air flow since then, being in there, I have given them a bag of cabbage that they ate most of about 90% and about 3 days ago I put in an avocado that was not quite spoiled yet. I cut it in half removed the pit and put it inside. The Coco has stayed Moist, like a rung out sponge.Am I doing something wrong?Or are they just crawling on the sides?Because they can , it almost looks like they're trying to get out and if they get out , my wife will murder me any help thank you 😊 🙏
Worm tower and castings
I have a worm tower with trays and my older tray is mostly castings very few bedding left. I added another tray and added food to the new tray thinking the worms would migrate up. Most of them have migrated up to feed which is great but it seems like there are still a good number of worms in the older tray. It is mostly castings and quite moist and i think they may be breeding there. I have only seen one cocoon but ive seen many juvenile worms when i fluff it up. My question is do i leave that tray alone and the worms will just all migrate up when they are done breeding? I fluff it once a week to keep it aerated. I have stopped adding any food to this tray because i want to collect the castings but the worms wont leave it. Any advice is welcome and thank you!
