Has anyone experimented with using pine straw instead of regular stamraw for a cob mix and/or for insulation on a pallet cob? Just curious because I've got tons and tons of pine straw around here.

I'm new to the group and am really excited about natural building and permaculture. I'd love to hear from anyone with experience dealing with building codes/more restrictive areas and how best to navigate building pallet cob structures in those places. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

Clay plaster indoor over drywall and outdoor over plywood. I'll experiment but are the Ratios and process sounding about right? Oh I forgot I could do a lime/clay plaster on the outside to protect better...?
