How this Community works

400sq ft Cobin Time & Cost Estimate?
@Sir Cobalot How long would you say it takes to build a 400sq foot palletable cobin with about 2-4 workers per day???? Aaaaand what are your general cost estimates (range) for a palletable cobin? I am making a plan for build right now and am hoping to build it with friends and family volunteer help in approximately 3 weeks (November... before the cold sets in. I am in Missouri), working 4-8 hours daily with 2-4 people at all times. I want to know if I am waaaaay off on my time estimates.... I have watch a lot of your videos but I don't have a good sense of how long things are taking with how much help 😅. Thank youuuuuu! I am so excited to build my little cobin.

Cob structure
Hello everyone. Im delighted to be apart of the community. Im joining from ireland. The past couple of years ive been building a healing centre at the moment im building my first cob ceremony space from pallets. Im going to put a cob floor in also. Im just checking out soil at momenthoping its the correct clay.I've built a small swimming pool with sauna also. I plan to build 2 maybe 3 small hobit houses from cob next

Rainwater Collection
Hi, I am new to the community here :) I am also only a few months away from living mostly off grid--I will have access to power for charging batteries. I joined this community because I think the combination of pallets, straw, and cob is genius and I want to learn how to put it all together! Although I love the many benefits (and the beauty) of a living roof, I was wondering if anyone has built something like this with a metal roof for rainwater collection? Any advice is appreciated. Thanks!

Learning late but better late than never
Hi. I've just sold my house and fled suburbia and am a little overwhelmed. I am determined to use my little nest egg to buy some property and build a small house. I have never even nailed two boards together, but am determined to avoid a mortgage. I can use all the help I can get.
