We Were Trying to Catch a Groundhog… and Caught a Fox Instead
Producing food has its challenges. Weather and animals are the worst. We have been trying to catch a ground hog that occasionally shows up to eat our delicious peas.

Don't get scammed on business filings!
Every year we get a letter from C.P.S saying we have to file our annual corporate report before July 1st or we get fined. That is true, we just don't have to file it through them for $100! Its free on the Virginia website. Don't pay these scammers :)
How to develop Resilience
Resilience is not built through fear or panic. It is built through reasonable, balanced action over time. Focus on taking the next right step, even when we cannot see the whole path. That might mean learning a practical homestead skill, building a small emergency fund, improving your pantry, developing a skill that could also increase your income, or simply becoming more prepared than you were yesterday. Resilience begins when you stop waiting for perfect conditions and start strengthening your household with what you have right now. One of the things we are doing right now to become more resilient is selling or giving away material things and doing less, so that I can focus on making a course for our community. This will give us another income stream and also allow me to do what I love while serving people.
