Why I’m Here

Hi, I’m new here and just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Rachel and I’m a former mental health social worker of 14 years with a background in Psychology, and I am an aspiring Spiritual Coach. I went through a pretty difficult period in my life for about 15 years during which I lost the 2 greatest loves of my life to terminal cancer, one of which was my children’s father, and experienced a lot of verbal and emotional abuse in our relationship of 13 years. The abuse triggered depression/anxiety and substance abuse, and whittling away of the person I had once been. I also lost a large group of all of my closest friends who could not deal with my struggles any longer, and was left pretty much alone at the lowest point in my life. It was shortly after the end of that relationship that I discovered Spirituality, about 3 years ago, and it completely saved and transformed my life. I’ overcome the addictions, found myself again, and have more happiness and peace in my life then I can remember having in a very long time. I also discovered my soul’s purpose during this time, which I am 100% certain is to help other people to overcome darkness in their lives and discover who they really are and why they are here so that they can live the peaceful, happy, and fulfilled lives that they deserve and are meant to live.

My 2 biggest philosophies on life are that 1) What doesn’t kill us makes us stronger, and 2) Everything happens for a reason. I’m very excited and grateful for this opportunity to grow my coaching skills and start making an impact in the world. Look forward to meeting you all and making some great connections!
