When you make a major decision in your life to *change* something major about yourSelf...
--you're all in, you feel good about it, you're ready to go--
The upheaval beings. Things seemingly unrelated begin to fall apart.
Car problems, unexpected bills, rocky relationship...
This is where many people ditch the new commitment to change.
I am noticing this all around me: my job is MORE demanding . . . Projects I am working on get MORE rough . . . seemingly anything to squeeze my time even tighter than before.
FIRST OF ALL
Just notice. Observe. "Hm...things seem to be rough now."
I am even noticing my reactions. Instead of projecting images of how things are going to worsen (you know how we tend to fantasize calamitous drama), I project a perfect resolution.
SECOND
The closer you get, the more things make "shake." Double-down and forge ahead. Even one small step of progress is progress. Be the observer as the winds howl. Persevere. See yourself coming through the storm in the beautiful sun.
