📌 Milestone 23: A Mindset in Motion

Today I honor the stillness,
not as a sign of weakness—
But as a signal of wisdom. 🌿
I saw my brother.
A soft reunion.
His presence reminded me
that love still lives
even when loss lingers. 💙
My oldest brother’s birthday
fell on Father’s Day this year—
Another layered moment
in a year full of echoes. 🎂👑
One month from now
marks two years
since I kissed my daughter’s soul goodbye.
Time moves forward.
Grief moves inward.
And still—
I rise. 🕊️🌅
Not because I’m over it.
But because I’m inside it.
Sitting still.
Learning how to breathe here. 🧘🏾♀️💨
Some days, I want to trust again.
Some days, I want to shut it all down.
Too many false faces.
Too many polished lies
from professionals with empty promises. 🎭
So now I listen less to noise
and more to know.
I no longer ask,
“Who can I trust?”
I ask,
“How can I trust myself more?” 💭🔐
Because I can’t blame the ones
I made not-so-good investments in.
That was me…
trying to see the best in people,
even when they were still hiding. 🤍💸
Now I’m walking through life
with this pain in my gums—
Yes, physically hurting,
but still smiling, still showing up. 🦷😷
I wear a mask—
But not the kind that hides me.
My mask isn’t for covering the truth.
It’s for protecting my healing.
There’s a difference. 🎭✨
And even in this mess,
even with the ache in my mouth
and the ache in my memories—
I am still going to be stronger.
Not just despite it…
But because of it. 💪🏾🔥
I’ve spent enough time
trying to be understood
by people who never took the time
to understand themselves.
Now, I give myself
What I once gave away so freely:
🛡️ My protection
🪷 My presence
🔥 My truth
Maybe I don’t write every day.
Maybe I will.
Maybe I won’t.
But when I do…
It’ll be with power.
Not performance. ✍🏾💫
This is what healing sounds like
When it stops performing.
This is what mindset looks like
When it chooses peace over pressure.
And this—
This right here,
is what it means to still believe
in me. 💖
