Client confidentiality- what is confidential and what isn’t
So being a teacher I know confidential doesn’t mean confidential… whilst in a school setting your primary job is to safeguard children so any niggling concerns have to be logged. I realise that confidential boundaries are likely different for coaching however there must be a line… if they tell you they murdered someone or beat their child that cannot remain confidential… so what is the line in coaching? To be clear this is not a problem I’ve encountered just looking ahead to explain the terms of confidentiality to a client.
