Romans 12:2 (NKJV): “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.”
There’s a profound choice to make: to live in God’s perfect will or in His permissible will. Both are part of God’s plan, but they lead to different outcomes.
God’s permissible will is what He allows for your life. It’s not necessarily a bad path; you might find success and blessings along the way. However, it’s a life of “what could be.” It might feel comfortable and look good on the surface, which is why many people mistakenly settle for it.
They see success and assume they’re living in God’s best plan. But God’s kindness means He can still bless you even when you’re not in His perfect will, and this can sometimes be confused for His highest calling.
Just because something is working doesn’t mean it’s His best for you.
In contrast, God’s perfect will is His ultimate, best plan for your life. This path may not always be easy, and it may challenge you, but it’s where you’ll find the deepest purpose, greatest impact, and truest joy.
This is the kind of life that can change not just your circumstances, but generations. Following God’s perfect will is where you discover the real reason you were born, experience a peace that isn’t dependent on your circumstances, and build a legacy that lasts.
Don’t settle for “good enough.” Ask God to reveal His perfect will for you, and be courageous enough to follow it, even when it’s difficult.
He will guide you, strengthen you, and be with you every step of the way.
