Do you really believe that in order to be an effective expert coach, you have to have actually done the thing or been through the situation yourself in which you are coaching your client through now?
Or, do you think it’s possible to coach someone through something (or out of some situation) in which you lack direct experience?
For example, if a coach has never been addicted to drugs, could they not still be an effective coach to a drug addict that is seeking help to quit doing drugs?
