This artwork presents a solitary figure draped in a flowing blue garment, standing against a backdrop of soft, sandy hues and a muted sky. The wind is blowing his garment, he is rearranging the long chech (head scarf) with the help of the wind. This connection to the wind, evoke a sense of freedom and tranquility. The figure's bare feet touch the earth, grounding the piece in a moment of stillness amidst the vastness of the landscape.
This artwork embodies a quiet strength and resilience, that is what I intended to convey, and the serenity of the sand dunes of the desert.
I am quite happy with the outcome of this work, although I had to compromise the subtle colours of the sand with my limited collection of soft pastels.
