Is reading music actually important?
If we really want lifelong skills to be able to learn whatever we want on the drums and be able to refresh our memory of old ideas and even to access all the amazing books that are around learning to read music could be the highest leverage skill you could ever learn on the drums. I'm dropping the new mini course read tonight in the classroom and I can't wait to see the results you guys get.

The secret to groove...
Time keeping, and especially counting out loud, are not discussed enough. We always think drummers are born with groove and a sense of feel or they are not...and it not true. Spend time with your metronome practicing your favourite grooves at different tempos then usually play it at. Even better...try using a gap click so that you have accountability with your time keeping. Have fun drumming today 🙌
