I resumed this Skool community for another month! 😎👍👍
...because everyone who has given me feedback on Whop hates it...me included. That was such a bad move on my part. Sorry guys. I do make mistakes, but I always try to make up for it and try again in a bigger/better way. Where will I host all the courses, community, etc. now? I just purchased the largest affordable VPS (virtual private server) I could find so that I can run the following [open source / free software] for our purposes: - 1️⃣ Big Blue Button: Instead of using Zoom or Teams, we'll use this: https://bigbluebutton.org/ (watch this YouTube video here: https://youtu.be/Aw3Ajuy3kyk?si=0-lcoEoU7khfuYpZ) - 2️⃣ Instead of Whop, we'll use Moodle, which 3 students over in Whop seemed excited about. The biggest upside of Moodle is that it integrates well with BigBlueButton. Check out this video: https://youtu.be/UCskncP1Z18?si=EmWE4P-6kA1CyIbO - 3️⃣ Coolify: for installing all the other really fun and exciting software, like NOCODB we can all use. Check out this 11 minute video I created for you guys: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HwLU-QJTyBk&list=PLMgWds5p226lK3T58eTRGsTSs5_yS6iiB -- and in this I could provide more services for you guys that you could really get excited about, such as... - 4️⃣ Grafana: hook up your data sources, and look at all these cool data visualizations it can create! I included a screen shot on it here. - I've got so many things to share with you guys! Let me know what you think of BigBlueButton and Moodle. This is the core of what I'll install at first. I'll send out emails inviting you guys to it. Please provide all the feedback you'd like so I know if a certain tool is not preferred. I have to look into the legality of it, but I believe I could install either the developer or express edition of MS SQL Server we could share (each of us could have a DB). I'll need to look into the licensing agreement before doing so.

Introduction to Model Driven Apps
Model-driven app design is an approach that focuses on starting with data, and then adding dashboards, forms, views, and charts to interact with the data in the form of an app. Additionally, model-driven apps facilitate connecting your tables via relationships, to permit navigation between them and reduce the likelihood of repeating data. Using the app designer with little or no code, you can build apps that are simple or complex. In canvas apps, the app maker has total control over the app layout. In model-driven apps, the components (dashboards, forms, views and charts) you add determine much of the layout. The emphasis is more on quickly viewing your business data and making decisions instead of on intricate app design. Model-driven apps have the following fundamental phases: -Model your business data -Define your business processes -Compose the app -Configure security roles -Share the app -Model your business data This is the most important step to building a model-driven app. It's appropriate to think of model-driven apps as data model driven apps. In that, you have to first build your data model in Dataverse before you can create your app. When modeling business data, you determine what data you need and how that data relates to other data. If done properly, designers can customize the app without writing code. -Define your business processes Defining and enforcing consistent business processes is a key aspect of model-driven app design. Consistent processes help ensure that your app users can focus on their work and not worry about having to remember to perform a set of manual steps. Processes can be simple or complex, and they often change over time. -Compose the app After modeling data and defining business processes, you build your app by selecting and setting up the pages you need in the App Designer. Power Apps automatically creates a site map (Navigation), helping define the navigation for users. -Configure security roles Dataverse tables are only accessible to users with assigned security roles. Once you apply a security role to a particular table, that role access applies to any application where the data is used. Security is robust in Dataverse, allowing you to create unique roles with each table. The same tables can have different roles with different types of access, covering the ability to create, read, write, delete, append, append to, assign and share data from the table.
