Is transport a right.
So after the fire next to Glasgow Central Station I mentioned last week the station has been closed along with every line running to the Southside of Glasgow. It's the busiest station in Scotland with more than 80,000 passengers daily yet not a single extra bus or replacement service has been running. As you can imagine the buses and roads have been chaos. Which got me thinking. Is transport a right? Do governments have a duty to provide public transport and an alternative when things go wrong?
