Stretching’s Affect on Trauma Healing
You know David Goggins’ trauma heals daily?
Let me explain: David Goggin’s- we all love him, right? The discipline guy.
He had a very hard childhood with his family, got abused, things of that nature, and it was very bad.
Bless him.
But anyway he dedicates 30-something minutes to do the stretching exercise that he uses for trauma.
Trauma, if you didn't know, is stored in the hips by the way in Psoas muscle, and he does this exercise a lot.
It is called indian style sitting, that is one of the main stretching exercises he does, this is how you do it by the way:
  1. The Base: Sit directly on the floor (use a yoga mat or rug for comfort).
  2. The Legs: Bend your knees and fold your legs inward so they cross in front of you.
  3. The Feet: Tuck each foot underneath the opposite knee (like a loose pretzel).
  4. The Posture: Keep your chest lifted, shoulders relaxed, and your spine perfectly straight
This is something that you can do to really get tangible results on your healing journey.
To be honest I've never done this myself but it's something you can consider and it's something that I should probably consider as well.
I just thought I'd put it out there and yeah, let me know your thoughts on this!
