It's normal. Rarely can someone write good copy in the first month or so.
But it happens to people who are 6 months deep or even a year in and still have no clue how to write good copy.
It could be:
〰️Relying too much on AI
〰️Not practicing enough, not taking the right steps
〰️Not turning your brain on, just straight up copying others.
Usually, the combination of all three. The third one takes the biggest slice. People just copy others.
Nowadays, people are lazy; they want things right here, right now.
They don't do their market research cause it takes time
They don't take inspiration and time to think of new angles for the same product/service
They simply copy what their eyes see.
And yeah, it is faster, no doubt, but it will take a lot of copy to finally master copywriting that way.
You either take the harder route NOW and later it's going to be easy, or you take the easy route NOW and later it's going to be hard.
Action steps:
- Don't copycat others, rather turn your brain on and take inspiration, create something new.
- Don't use AI cause not only will this make your brain lazy, but it will also make your copy worse
- And last but not least, take action, write that sales page, study those ads, and read the books.
