Energy Management - Monday Action: The Reset Practice
Awareness and boundaries mean nothing if you can’t regulate in the moment. (much much easier said than done!!!) Breathe. When pressure hits, your body reacts before your brain catches up — tight chest, racing thoughts, short fuse. This week, we practice resetting instead of pushing through. Try one of these micro resets once a day: 1️⃣ Step outside for two minutes and breathe deeper than your inbox allows. 2️⃣ Take a full sip of water and slow it down — feel it. 3️⃣ Name what’s really happening: “I’m reacting, not responding.” 4️⃣ Change your environment for one minute — move, stand, stretch. 5️⃣ End the day by writing down one moment you re-centered, even slightly. You can’t think clearly when your nervous system is in fight-or-flight. Take a moment. This week is about teaching your body that you’re safe enough to lead again.

Energy Management – the Cost of every Yes
We are at the end of this week. Let's look back at your choices. - How many times did you pause before committing? - What did you learn about the feeling that drives your yes? - Where did you hold a boundary that actually protected your energy? If you noticed a pattern of automatic yeses, that’s not failure — that’s data. Good data! Share one small win below: maybe you paused, said “not this week,” or blocked time to think. Those are leadership moves. If you’re still struggling, bring it to Office Hours — we’ll work through real scenarios together. Boundaries aren’t rules. They’re energy management in practice.

Energy Management - Boundaries Are Built, Not Announced
People think boundaries are about what you say — they’re really about what you DO. Every time you honor a limit you’ve set, you reinforce self-trust. Every time you ignore it, you teach yourself that your needs don’t count. (Ever heard the phrase "you teach people how to treat you"? Well, this is it in action!) Boundaries aren’t walls; they’re filters. They protect what fuels you and let in what aligns with your values. Today’s reflection: Which of your values gets violated most often when you’re burned out?Is it respect (being overrun), trust (feeling unsupported), or balance (no recovery)? Pick one and defend it once today — quietly, firmly, without apology. That’s how boundaries take root.

Energy Management - The Pause Between Yes and No
Last week was about noticing. This week is about the pause — the space between impulse and decision. Most burnout happens in that split second before we say yes. We react to fear: fear of letting someone down, fear of missing out, fear of not being needed. Today’s work is simple: Before you agree to anything, pause. Take one breath and ask: “Am I saying yes because it matters — or because I’m avoiding discomfort?” If it’s the second one, don’t rush to fix it.Just notice it. That’s the first step in reclaiming your energy. Micro Actions: 1️⃣ Say “Let me think on that” once today instead of giving an instant yes. 2️⃣ Write down one thing you’ve agreed to this week that doesn’t align with your values. 3️⃣ Note how it feels when you delay your response — lighter, heavier, or both?
