Hi Yoga Badass Community! I'm so excited you've joined us in this awesome collaboration of yoga practitioners from all over the world in leveling up your practices. This group is intended on helping each of you find new and inspiring ways to practice, even if you don't have much time to do it, or if you're newer to the journey. It doesn't matter what your practice looks like: from one day to the next my personal practice might be traditional Ashtanga, or Power Yoga, or Yin Yoga. Some days I'm taking a quick run out in the sunshine or hiking with my partner in the woods, or hugging my teenager. On other days my practice is much more internal, and I simply sit and meditate or study yoga philosophy. The point is to keep practicing, keep feeding your curiosity, and finding new ways to keep YOUR YOGA fresh. Once you're in the group, don't forget to head over to the Classroom tab and check out the free courses I've unlocked as a thank you for being here. 😍 I think you'll find the 28-Day Handstands & Power Challenge to be a FUN new way to level up your Badassery! (Even newer yoga practitioners have loved this course, by the way!) Also, in the classroom tab, you’ll find the zoom link for our weekly live session - 15 minute yoga flows called “Yoga Badass Breakdowns” - where are you can get a quick but deep look at certain postures and how to do them, wrapped up in a flow. Tons of my students love this because our longer classes are often challenging. Come join us each week - and if you can’t join us live, I do post the replays. I am here to support you on your journey. Let's hold each other accountable, and don't forget to ask the Yoga Badass Community for help when you need it. We are all in this thing together, after all. So much love, Jenni Sol
Hi everyone, I just wanted to say thank you so much for all your support since I launched this platform in January, 2023. I've made the decision to cancel the Skool account - you will no longer have access to all the free videos and tutorials I've listed after Aug. 24. This month I will be transitioning back over to FB for the FREE information from this point forward. If you wanted to finish a course you had access to and never got around to it, now's the time. You will have two weeks to finish up, ask questions, and get what you need before this info is gone. Just to be clear, I initially began this journey on FB a number of years ago. I noticed a few things that left me feeling icky about the FB experience, namely all the 'noise' associated with its use, and the constant changes that left my entrepreneurial brain reeling daily. To be blunt, I am not a fan of FB for so many reasons. However, it is becoming increasingly clear most students are not as adverse to it as I am - in fact I've had students say they likely wouldn't use a different platform (like Skool) at all because it's just too exhausting after a day of internet use at work. I totally get it, and I'm right there with you. Which is why I've chosen to cancel the subscription. If you are a student who needs access to any of the recordings for any reason, please reach out and I'll get them to you some other way. In the meantime, I DO like Skool a lot. If they ever grow as popular as FB I'll be back. I will also recommend the heck out of them. They are a group of super professional people who I respect greatly. They are also on to amazing things - be on the lookout for Skool to go viral soon. In the meantime, let me know if I can help YOU on your yoga, yoga teaching, and/or wellness business journey moving forward. I will be back over in the FB land over the next month. Be sure to look for me there. Again, thank you so much for all you do! Much love, Jenni Sol
I've put up new classes in the Badassery at Home: Yoga on Demand section (under the 'Classroom' tab). If you are a member you *should* have access. Please let me know if you can't access the classes, or can't figure out how to get there and I'll be more than happy to help. If you are not yet a member.....why not? ❤️ (Here's the link to join our Online Badassery on Demand Community!) In the meantime, HAPPY FLOWING! So much love, Jenni Sol
Hi everyone! I did a small test in this free Skool Community - I initially only let just 50 people in but then I let a few more in that came organically. My goal was to experience using Skool as a place for my free community to come together as opposed to Facebook. I think there are pros and cons to both. I'm going to end this test now and I'd like to survey you to understand how you want me to move forward with my free community. Do you want to stay here on Skool or would you like to have it back on Facebook? Things to think about: - Are you actually coming into this Skool group and interacting/ consuming content/ asking questions/making connections? - Would you actually go into the FB group and interact/ consume content/ ask questions/make connections? - When you get emails from the Skool system about the posts I make, do you make an effort to come and read/watch? - If I emailed you about something I posted in the FB group would you go and read/watch? - If you aren't coming to this Skool group, why? Is it too difficult, yet another thing to log onto, etc.? I'm so curious how this new platform has impacted you. Please let me know your thoughts. The way you want to interact with me matters and I want to be able to reach you in a way that is not ignored and I want to be able to create a safe and collaborative environment you are excited to pop into each day.

This is such a good one for strength as well as understanding HOW to distribute the body's weight in order to create balance in other poses. If you practice this 3x this week for 10 minutes each time, you'll be well on your way to a great - but HARD - yoga arm balance!
Here's the Replay to the 15 Minutes to a Stronger Crow Pose. This will only be available for 14 days. DO repeat this practice a few times each week for the next few weeks and feel your Crow Pose soar! Much love, Jenni Sol

The Yoga Badass Teachers Mentorship Program is a 6-month course that will give you a super deep-dive into the Method that has consistently and beautifully supported many yoga professionals (and busy yogis!) looking to take their practices to a new level. In this intensive course, you will practice and learn: 1. The Ashtanga Tradition and it's foundational depth, 2. How the Ashtanga practice can offer support for other asanas & sequences, including 'research postures' that help us get from A to Z, 3. Using the Ashtanga practice as a means for developing what YOU will teach, 4. Intermediate and advanced yoga asana that has foundations everywhere we look, 5. Sincere CONFIDENCE and STRENGTH in your own practice and how you teach yoga. The Yoga Badass Teacher Mentorship Program is truly a Method you can take off the mat. It develops yogis and yoginis into more serious thinkers and leaders by building confidence and courage to push the needle forward in their lives. By working through the lens of the Ashtanga tradition, the yoga student learns how to teach by example, using grounding techniques and implementable strategies for success. The Yoga Badass Teacher Mentorship Program is for you if: 1. You dream of learning what yoga teachers know - and practice (you DON'T need to be a yoga teacher) 2. You are a newly certified yoga teacher who lacks confidence teaching. 3. YOU NEED $$$ FROM YOUR WELLNESS BUSINESS but don't know how to make it. 4. I just wanted to let you know I've decided to cancel yoga classes Friday and Saturday, March 31-April 1 due to my family coming into town for Lily's production of the Little Mermaid. Thank you for your patience with this. *If you've already signed up for classes next weekend, I've gone ahead and put you in to receive the recordings.* PLEASE REGISTER ANYWAY and I'll send you yoga recordings for your weekend. :) Here's the link for tickets if you are hoping to come for the performance. Lily's Ariel on Friday night at 7pm and Saturday at 2pm only. No worries if you can't make it to her shows; they double casted lead rolls this year due to what we learned in covid times. (I thought that was a good idea.) The other Ariel is amazing too - I'm sure it's going to be good no matter what show you attend. *The Little Mermaid is being held in Kulp Auditorium at the Ithaca High School March 31 - April 2. Please note: it is the FULL Broadway production; expect to be there for 2.5 hours. Much love to you all, Jenni Sol
Ever wondered WHY we do navasana - boat pose? Follow this tutorial and practice along! This is only the beginning to your strength Badasses. Let's do it! Typically on Moon Days, we take a day off from our practice. Sometimes I take the day off completely and maybe lounge around if I can, but mostly I take the opportunity to do longer yin holds or deeper meditation. 🌓🌒🌑🌘🌓🌔🌕🌖🌗 Today is a new moon and while I will be teaching a number of classes, I will be urging my students to work at 50% of their energetic capacity rather than their normal 120%. I invite you to do the same. ❤️ For many of my students being asked to take things down a number of notches is a serious challenge - asking anyone to take a day off from practice (or anything else) is oftentimes viewed as irresponsible, non-committal, lazy. 😱 While I used to feel the same way, I am really starting to appreciate the moon days as a way to turn inward, to slow the F down. To put it bluntly, I need my energy (dopamine) levels to be replenished instead of feeling constantly depleted. This is something else I've been feeling in my practice these last few years, so I'm exploring it more. Honoring the moon days is therefore an opportunity to replenish so that we don't burn out. This to me is Yogic mastery. I don't care what anyone says: being a Yoga Badass is not about pushing yourself so hard that you burn out - and potentially get injured in the process. Instead, being a Yoga Badass means to be mature enough in our practices (and in life!) to know when to say when. Do you practice on the Moon Days? Do you notice your energy levels higher or lower around the moon days? Have you ever heard of the Ashtanga Guilt when it comes to practicing (I'm sure you can imagine what that means, especially in regards to this subject). I would love to know your thoughts in the comments below. ❤️ ❤️ Jenni Sol
Hi everyone, Here's this week's Yoga Badass Drill: This Block Hold Challenge! It's a FAST way to get your core work in under 4 minutes. Add it to your other routines or just stop, drop, and CORE UP! Don't forget to long on Thursday at 1:30pm for our LIVE Yoga Badass Breakdown. This week I'll be breaking down the L-Sit Hold after taking us through a 10-minute yoga flow. Get your yoga in 15 minutes THIS THURSDAY! Here's the Zoom link to join - it's also located in the Calendar tab. Hope to see you there, Jenni Sol
Here's your weekly CORE challenge: Ever try this 'animal movement' thing to increase strength and mobility in the body? I'm telling you, your core will fire up with this one! Let me know your thoughts on this - try it a few times and see if you can get the hands and feet to move at the same time as you pull the belly in. Really work to articulate the placement of the hands and feet as you walk around. What's cool about the Bear Walk is that it teaches us to feel confident on our hands as well as helping us move from our core in order to walk around. You do need to warm up a little bit before trying this, so head into a few cycles of sun salutations first - then channel your inner bear and walk around on your hands and feet. Try up to five minutes a day this week and notice the change in your body and mind. Please comment below what you liked (or didn't like!) about this.
If you missed it yesterday, here's your 15 minutes of playfulness. Let me know in the comments what take-aways you might have. https://youtu.be/0-ohQWsJNCI If you'd like additional coaching, upload a video for me to see here and I'll give you some added tips!
HI everyone, Join me LIVE today at 1:30 for a quick yoga flow and breakdown of the (in)famous jump throughs so yours feel better in your practice. It's going to be 15-20 minutes - use your coffee break and join me! I've got the Zoom link in the 'Calendar' tab for today, but here it is just in case: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/87284314396?pwd=VitNa3Ntc2p0cExyOW5iUmoxUUNDdz09 I will also share the replay for a few days before taking it down - hope you can join! Hope to see you then!
I'm just popping on here to tell you I'm going LIVE on Thursday afternoon at 1:30pm in this group, the Yoga Badass Community to give a FREE 15-minute yoga flow and breakdown class. This week we will cover the hop-through/jump back. (Check the Calendar tab to find out more and access the Zoom link!) I'm doing so for two reasons: 1. So many of you are struggling with this transition, 2. There's different ways to do the thing that don't involve "nailing it". I will put up the replay for a few days in this Yoga Badass Community group. Let me know if you're planning on attending by commenting below. I'm also working on setting up a very robust set of learning tools for you all, including access to free and paid classes, LIVE Yoga Badass Breakdown Classes every Thursday, and a library of classes only the Yoga Badass Community has access to. I'm in the process of shifting my offerings here in this group so that I can sincerely give to YOU. (I'm truly trying to create a community of people here who are actively seeking information about yoga. Please note: I am NOT trying to create a free FB group where people join but NEVER see it because of all the extra noise, nor invite people in who won't interact with the community - sorry/not sorry.)
