Dog Adopting Question

Hi all, I am participating in a workshop and was posed a great question, so I am going to ask you all a few questions.

For those of you a adopted a dog from a shelter or rescue, what process did you use?

Did you just go to a shelter or did you do research first?

Was it your first dog?

Did you plan ahead, or just go to get a dog and then went on from there.

For those of you who went to a breeder, what was your process for this route?

What was the decision making process you used to pick you specific breed of dog that you wanted?

Last question:

If you had a " Dog Adoption guide", would it have made things easier for you in the process of bringing your dog home?
