Hey everyone, tell us all 1 funny thing your dog did this week! My dog Penny was looking out our front window barking at a squirrel, on right front of my house, and as he ran across my front yard, right to left, Penny ran from that side of the house, into my office on the left side of the house, to my office window, in an attempt to "chase" the squirrel!

Hi all, I am working on adding some new material to the community and this topic came up in one of the other communities that I am in. Did you rescue/adopt a dog or buy a dog from a breeder? There is no wrong answer, I am just interested into the why's and how's of your decision. There are many pro's & con's to both options, I was just interested in learning how you made your decision to go the route that you did. I will go first, so after many discussions with my wife, we decided the answer for us, was to rescue/adopt a dog, so both of our dogs were rescues from shelters. Jake, our first pup, was 8 weeks old when we brought him into our family. He was with us until right before his 9th birthday, this past July, he crossed the bridge due to a brain tumor. I miss him every single day! His picture is on top right of this community page, wearing the towel. Our current rescue, Penny, was 5 months old when we got her. She, and many other dogs, were taken from an over breeding "facility", transferred to the shelter, and we then adopted her from that shelter. As I said, there is no wrong answer, just curious on what route you all decided was right, for you. Please tell us what route you took with your pup!
