Hello everyone. I am an individual contributor in an ultra-niche field (trademark searching/research). I have been doing this for 20 years and it is my only relevant work experience. I have no opportunity for growth at my company and the current state of the economy has caused the disappearance of overtime due to heavy offshoring. Not even sure how secure my modest niche field individual contributor job is. I have no experience in any "common" fields such as finance, engineering, tech, etc. and I feel that if something happens to my job, I am doomed. Any suggestions?
