@Alex Ivanov For fun and exercise. I am not competitive.

Looked for jobs to apply to on LinkedIn. That's it. I am more miserable than ever at my job in the 20 years I have been there.
Today was a bad day in terms of career. Suggestions?
So I had a conversation with my manager today that has me starting a search for a new job today. I was more or less demoted due to cost-saving and need for resources that I possess. I am in a very very niche field (trademark research, I am NOT an attorney, unfortunately). Since my work situation is becoming unbearable, is there any kind of job that is easy and quick to get that pays more than $35 an hour to get me by till I find that six-figure job I need? I imagine there is, for such a modest wage. Also, what are some good short learning curve skills to learn for someone who is pushing 50 and doesn't have youth on their side?

Cool. I have never thought about putting my resume in ChatCPT to find out which other jobs I am a match for, but it makes perfect sense. I will do that ASAP.

Also, this was a demotion in all but title and pay. Talk about feeling INVISIBLE.

In the side hustle department (my day job is static and stagnant), I paid $10 for advertising of my metal band and got a few sales. It's never going to make me a ton of money, but just be one minor side hustle. If anyone here is into extreme metal music, dm me and I can share the links to share with others.
Favorite movie?
Man on Fire Braveheart The Count of Monte Cristo

I can't pick just one, as it depends on my mood. But Braveheart is a good one.

@Alex Ivanov I know. That is one of my own favorites, too. Also, for comedy I like Office Space. For war movies, Full Metal Jacket. Drama, American History X. Horror/thriller, American Psycho. Action, I can't decide.

@Alex Ivanov I talked to a friend from back in college. Maybe that will lead to some networking opportunities. I wish I were in engineering, tech or finance.

@Abdallah El Hamawi Yes. Who you know is as important as what you know. Connections are key.
