Living with Nature as a forefront to emotional wellbeing
As I prepare a busy transition in my life, endless days of packing and moving memories from the present to the past, I couldnt help but feel like I needed something more than the daily grind of getting up and working through it all like a robot with a goal to finish. I felt the real draw to go out in nature and enjoy the sun of life that sits right outside the door I was stuck behind. I needed that moment to sync with nature and reground myself to the earth. I was missing family and needed a hug desperately. So I read earlier in the week that if you hug a tree for 21 seconds or more it would offer you the same dopamine effect of a hug from an actual person. So that is exactly what I did. I chose a specific tree that meant a great deal to me, an apple tree to bear fruit I planted 8 years ago when I arrived at this location. The tree was familiar, like a child I raised and watch grow in front of me. I also wanted to say my goodbye, that it too shall flourish and grow and serve the next family with Apple bearing fruit to enjoy in their life here at the ranch I leave behind. After sitting and enjoying I took a little more time to walk around and give myself a much needed break but also take in the beauty of spring that’s popping up everywhere here. Do you ever feel the need to just go outside and take it all in to ground yourself? It makes sense that I am in the House of Pentacles and have the Earth as my primary source of energy.
