I'm a consultant/Fractional. Am I screwed?
So over the past few years I tried getting speaker spots. Mostly, I get ignored, but otherwise I get footed a check. Please pay 1-5k for a speakerslot since you are a consultant.
The reason I got some speaker slots under the belt was because I organized two events, or that I did a stint full time at an organization.
Podcasting has been a bit more successful. 3 in my belt in the last year and one more scheduled.
But also there they prefer operators over independents/consultants.
I do see some people bridge this gap by publishing a book/research having achieved something amazing.
What else can I do?
