Do LinkedIn banners actually matter for personal branding?
When someone lands on your LinkedIn profile, the banner is the first thing they see.
Yet most profiles still have:
⢠the default banner
⢠a random skyline
⢠a laptop photo
⢠or a stock image
Which makes me wonderā¦
Are people underestimating that space?
Personally, I think a banner should instantly communicate:
⢠what you do
⢠who you help
⢠why someone should care
But I might be biased because I analyze profiles daily.
Curious to hear from you:
Have you ever changed your LinkedIn banner and noticed a difference in:
⢠profile views
⢠connection requests
⢠inbound leads?
PS: If you want to test your banner today, try this simple exercise.
Open your LinkedIn profile ā look at your banner for 3 seconds ā close it.
Now ask yourself:
āWould a stranger instantly understand what I do?ā
If the answer isnāt clear, that space might be working against you instead of for you.
