I created INK because I know the struggle firsthand of juggling ideas, jobs, family, and the constant fight to make time for your art. But I also know how rewarding it can be to see an idea through to the big screen and the jobs it creates and the accolades that follow. Every creative deserves to feel this over and over again. I am originally from Washington, D.C. and I moved to Los Angeles as a single mom with two young children in 2014. I have built an empire, by learning how to write, direct and produce films independently. This meant raising my own funds, casting my own films, and finding my own distribution. Before anything else, I’m a writer. Writing has always been the heartbeat of my creativity—it’s how I translate emotion, truth, and lived experience into stories that move people. Every project I create begins with words that aim to heal, challenge, and inspire. My goal this season is to write five new projects that push boundaries, spark conversation, and celebrate the beauty, resilience, and complexity of our culture. Storytelling isn’t just what I do—it’s who I am. I’m Dr. Louis Deon Jones—an Emmy Award–winning filmmaker, Guinness World Record holder, and the Founder and CEO of Louis Jones Studios. With dual doctorates in Applied Clinical Psychology and International Psychology, I merge human understanding with cinematic vision to create films that reflect truth and transformation. My work across projects like North of Hollywood, Lost in Grief, Intended Parents and many more projects that continues to honor my purpose: to write stories that empower, educate, and connect us all through shared humanity.
